Safety boundaries
Keep the boundary visible.
Wide Sky Pause is general education. It is intentionally not a substitute for personal, professional, urgent, or emergency support.
If there is immediate danger, call 911. In the United States and territories, 988 connects callers to the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The app’s Help buttons only open the device dialer. They do not place a call, send a message, detect a crisis, collect information, or monitor what happens next. Not clinical care
The app does not diagnose symptoms, assess risk, interpret mood, recommend treatment, prescribe medication, create a care plan, or act as clinical decision support. Its cards cannot determine why a person feels a certain way or what care is right for them.
Not emergency response
It does not dispatch emergency services, provide a crisis chat, keep a hotline record, share location, notify a contact, or guarantee a connection to any external service. Do not rely on the app in an emergency.
Use your own judgment
Some prompts mention ordinary movement, meals, breathing, routines, or surroundings. They remain optional. Stop if something is uncomfortable, unsafe, painful, or conflicts with advice from a qualified professional.
Practical use boundaries
- Choose a card only when it is appropriate for your setting and current needs.
- Do not use a card to delay urgent action, substitute for a professional assessment, or decide another person’s needs.
- Follow local rules, qualified professional advice, and existing medical, rehabilitation, mobility, safety, or fluid guidance that applies to you.
- Do not enter personal or sensitive information: the app has no place to store it.
- Adults should supervise any minor who happens to use the app.
What the app does with urgent-help controls
On Android, selecting Dial 988 or Dial 911 uses an operating-system dial intent. That transfers the next step to the phone’s dialer. Wide Sky Pause receives no call audio, number, content, duration, result, or location. There is no Internet access, telemetry, or server connection in version 1.0.0.
