Choice is built in
Cards frame prompts as optional. Users can stop, skip, avoid saving, or clear local choices. The app does not score participation, require a streak, compare people, make a public profile, or penalize a person for not continuing.
Access and dignity
Room for different contexts—without claiming to solve them.
Wide Sky Pause is meant to be readable, optional, and private. Its language avoids requiring a particular home, income, family structure, diagnosis, treatment path, level of mobility, or access to care.
Reading access
The app offers a larger-text setting and a reduced-motion setting. The support site uses semantic headings, keyboard-visible focus, responsive layout, high-contrast ink and light surfaces, and reduced-motion CSS for people who prefer less movement.
Private by default
No login means no identity gate. No network connection or data SDK means bookmarks and display preferences stay on the device. The app does not request location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health records.
Rural and underserved contexts
Cards may invite practical planning around distance, privacy, weather, transportation, or connection. They do not promise a resource, confirm availability, offer a service, or replace local professional and emergency guidance.
Adults, young people, and safeguarding
Wide Sky Pause is designed for adults and is not directed to children. It has no youth profiles, chat, adult-to-youth messaging, social feed, free-text field, precise location, or contact tool. If an adult chooses to let a minor use the app, that adult should supervise and should not enter a minor’s sensitive information. See safety and the policy for the same boundary.
